HFL was incorporated in 1983 as a subsidiary of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited, A Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Dept. of Chemicals & Petrochemicals for manufacture of Polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) with plant capacity of 500 tons per annum. The plant is located at Rudraram in Medak District, Telangana, India.

OIIFS visited HFL with its students for a day’s training to know the activities carried out in chemical plants and their concerned safety issues. Staff of high ranks briefed the students in detail about HFL and about its operations.
