Bloodborne Pathogens

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and hepatitis merit serious concern for workers occupationally exposed to blood, other infectious fluids. Exposure to blood borne pathogens occurs in many ways. They are transmitted through contact with eyes, nose and mouth or through broken skin.
